Role Description The Admission Counsellor will be responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrollment, in a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to queries via phone, email, and in-person meetings, providing detailed information about programs, eligibility, fees, and campus life. The role involves conducting counseling sessions, participating in admission events, following up with leads, and maintaining accurate records in admission systems or CRM tools.
The Admission Counsellor will collaborate with academic and administrative teams, support outreach activities such as school visits or education fairs, and help meet admission targets while ensuring a positive applicant experience.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Communication and Interpersonal Communication skills for engaging with prospective students and families.
Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to deliver a professional, supportive, and informative admissions experience.
Candidates should possess Sales-related skills to convert inquiries into applications and enrollments ethically and transparently.
Candidates should possess Education-related understanding or experience in academic counseling, higher education processes, or student support.
Relevant bachelor's degree (such as Business, Education, Psychology, or Communications) or equivalent experience in admissions or counseling.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, manage multiple inquiries, and use basic computer and CRM tools efficiently.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a learner-focused mindset.
Prior experience in educational institutions, admission counseling, or student recruitment is an advantage.
