Position Summary
The Associate Professor – Mathematics at UNSW Bengaluru is a senior academic role responsible for providing leadership in teaching, research, curriculum development, and academic service within the School of Science and Engineering. The role contributes to the academic development of the campus by delivering high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, leading curriculum innovation, mentoring academic staff, and advancing research aligned with UNSW's global academic standards and the University Grants Commission (UGC) regulatory framework.

The Associate Professor is expected to maintain an internationally recognised research profile, contribute to academic governance, foster interdisciplinary collaborations, build partnerships with industry and external organisations, and support the University's strategic priorities. The appointee will play a key role in promoting excellence in teaching, research, student success, and academic quality while contributing to the development of a high-performing academic culture at UNSW Bengaluru.
Preference will be given to global/international faculty with teaching experience outside of India.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate Mathematics programs while promoting excellence in learning and teaching.
Provide academic leadership in curriculum design, development, delivery, and continuous review across Mathematics programs.
Ensure teaching quality, curriculum innovation, and pedagogical excellence aligned with UNSW academic standards and UGC regulatory requirements.
Design and continuously improve curriculum, assessment strategies, learning resources, and student learning experiences.
Integrate technology-enabled teaching methodologies, educational technologies, and mathematical software into course delivery.
Coordinate course delivery across teaching teams, ensuring consistency in teaching quality, assessment, moderation, and student outcomes.
Supervise undergraduate, postgraduate, and research projects while fostering analytical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
Maintain a strong research profile through publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national and international conferences.
