About the Role – Robotics Instructor
Newton School of Technology invites applications for the position of Robotics Engineer +
Instructor within the interdisciplinary engineering and science department.
This role is ideal for professionals or academicians with strong expertise in Robotics,
Control Systems, Mechatronics, and Applied Physics, who are passionate about hands-on
experimentation, problem-based learning, and mentoring students in engineering
fundamentals.
The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering theory and laboratory
courses, guiding student projects, and integrating real-world engineering applications into the curriculum. The role requires collaboration with faculty across Computer Science, AI, and
Engineering domains to promote interdisciplinary learning.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Academic Delivery
Design and deliver project-based courses in Robotics and Applied Physics, including:

● Mechanics, Kinematics, and Dynamics

● Electronics and Sensors

● Control Systems and Feedback Mechanisms

● Microcontrollers and Embedded Systems (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP
32, etc.)

● Robotics Programming (Python / C++)

● Computer Vision for Robotics

● Motion Planning and Navigation

● Lab-based experimentation in physics and robotics
Curriculum Development

● Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of Robotics and Applied Physics curriculum

● Integrate real-world engineering problems, industry case studies, and hands-on lab work
Student Mentorship

● Guide students in robotics projects such as autonomous robots, drones, robotic arms, and IoT-based systems

● Provide technical feedback on design, implementation, and testing
Career Guidance

● Mentor students on careers in Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation, and Embedded
Systems

● Support students in preparing for internships and technical roles
Industry Alignment

● Stay updated with advancements in robotics, automation, AI-integrated robotics, and smart systems

● Bring contemporary tools and practices into classroom teaching
Collaboration

● Work closely with AI/ML faculty to integrate robotics with computer vision and machine learning

● Collaborate with engineering and lab teams for practical learning modules
Assessment and Evaluation

● Design practical lab assignments, mini-projects, and capstone evaluations

Qualifications and Experience

● Master’s degree or Phd in Physics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

● Minimum 4+ years of hands-on industry or academic experience in Robotics, Automation, or Applied Physics

● Demonstrated experience in building robotic systems, experimental physics setups, or real-world engineering applications
