Location: Bengaluru

The Pre-Audit professional will be responsible for reviewing financial transactions, payments, supporting documents, approvals, and compliance requirements prior to final processing or disbursement. The role is focused on identifying financial, operational, and compliance risks at an early stage, ensuring adherence to company policies, delegated authority matrices, statutory requirements, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct pre-audit of vendor payments, employee reimbursements, advances, purchase-related transactions, and other financial disbursements before payment processing.
Verify invoices, purchase orders, work orders, contracts, supporting documents, and approvals for completeness and accuracy.
Ensure transactions comply with the company's policies, SOPs, Delegation of Authority (DOA) approval matrix, and applicable statutory requirements.
Validate accuracy of calculations, applicable taxes, deductions, rates, quantities, payment terms, and supporting documentation.
Review procurement-to-payment processes and ensure appropriate controls have been followed.
Identify duplicate payments, incorrect claims, unsupported expenses, deviations from contractual terms, and potential financial leakages.
Verify compliance with applicable GST, TDS, and other taxation requirements, wherever relevant.
Highlight control gaps, policy deviations, exceptions, and high-risk transactions to relevant stakeholders.
Maintain detailed records of audit observations, exceptions, and closure status.
Coordinate with Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Business Teams, and other functions for clarification and resolution of audit queries.
Track pending audit observations and ensure timely closure of identified exceptions.
Recommend process improvements and stronger internal controls based on recurring audit findings.
Support internal, statutory, and external audit requirements by providing relevant documentation and transaction details.
Prepare periodic MIS and management reports covering audit observations, transaction volumes, rejection rates, recurring exceptions, and key risk areas.
Assist in fraud-risk identification and escalate suspicious or unusual transactions in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure confidentiality and integrity of financial and business information.
