Above 5 years experience in Personal care formulations,

(Ayurvedic/ herbal).

Job Summary:

To handle the complete portfolio of Ayurveda based Personal care products (Skin care, hair care, Oral care) end-to-end;
Should be skilled in developing these products starting from Lab trials to tech transfer at CMUs, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Ensure timely planning, execution & alignment with different stake holders across cross functional teams & CMUs.

Key Responsibilities:

● Conduct bench-scale experiments to develop new cosmetic products, including mixing, blending, and testing prototypes.

● Perform stability testing on cosmetic samples to ensure product quality and shelf life.

● Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and results in laboratory notebooks.

● Assist senior scientists in modifying existing cosmetic formulations to improve product performance or address consumer needs.

● Research and evaluate new Ayurveda based actives to incorporate into cosmetic products.

● Contribute ideas for innovative product concepts based on market trends and consumer insights.

● Collect and analyze data from laboratory experiments, including physical and chemical properties of cosmetic samples.

● Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing experimental findings and presenting results to the R&D team.

● Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace, following good laboratory practices (GLP).

● Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished products as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

● Support the development and verification of product labels and claims to ensure compliance with brand and regulatory guidelines.

● Assist in preparing & maintaining comprehensive technical documentation/dossiers for product registration, tech transfer and safety assessments.

● Facilitate effective communication across project teams and manage multiple projects concurrently while adhering to demanding timelines.

● Establish and maintain collaborations with external institutes and organizations for conducting safety assessments / clinical studies as required.

Expected Knowledge & Hands-On Experience

● Strong understanding of basic chemistry concepts of ingredients & excipients used and principles of personal care formulation.

● Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment usage.

● Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately with precise measurements.

● Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other R&D team members.

● Knowledge of cosmetic industry trends and consumer preferences.

● Passion for product development and innovation in the cosmetics field.

● Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on the latest advancements in cosmetic science.
