About the Role:

Grade Level (for internal use):
10 Responsibilities and Impact:
Partner with technical and business teams to document the end-to-end data flow and transformations across multiple systems and applications.
Design, implement, and maintain technical and business data lineage using data.world and associated tools.
Configure and manage data.world integrations with ETL tools, databases, BI platforms (e.g., Airflow, SQL Server, Power

BI, etc.).
Automate and troubleshoot lineage harvesting and metadata ingestion processes.
Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and architects to define lineage standards and ensure alignment with governance frameworks.
Create lineage visualizations and reports to support regulatory compliance, impact analysis, and data transparency.
Maintain metadata models, policies, and data dictionaries within data.world.
Provide ongoing support, documentation, and training to ensure proper adoption of lineage capabilities.

What We're Looking For:

Basic

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Metadata Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in data management, with a focus on data lineage and metadata management.
Strong programming skills in SQL, Python and scripting languages for automating data lineage processes.
Proficiency in using data lineage tools and integration with ETL tools and BI platforms.
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with data governance tools like data.world, Informatica or Collibra.
Professional certifications such as DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or tool-specific certifications (e.g., data.world Admin Certification) preferred.

Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Prior work in regulated industries (e.g., finance) with data compliance needs.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
