We are looking for an experienced Managed File Transfer (MFT) Engineer with 5+ years of expertise in enterprise-level file transfer solutions, specifically IBM Sterling Secure File Transfer and Axway Secure Transport.
Job Description:
- The ideal candidate will design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and compliant file transfer workflows across our global enterprise.
- Implement the secure file transfer solutions using Axway Secure Transport and IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, IBM Sterling File Gateway MFT products.
- Analyze functional designs, develop and troubleshoot integrations and conduct testing.
- Should possess a strong background knowledge in MFT technologies, including experience in DR (Disaster Recovery), transfer protocols like FTPs, SFTP, HTTPS, AS2, etc. Implementing and enforcing security protocols (SSL/TLS) to protect sensitive data, Encryption software’s like PGP, GnuPG and Native PGP.
- Should also have in-depth knowledge on MFT application architecture, Installation, digital certificates, Fire wall, Business Process, and security concepts to ensure secure and efficient data exchange across the enterprise.
- Should have experience with Linux system administration and in-depth experience in shell scripting and ability to develop custom shell scripts for automation and improvements.
- Experience in Migration projects like IBM SI/SFG to Axway Secure Transport, Legacy MFT to Axway Secure Transport, etc
- Should have excellent analytical, problem-solving and production support skills.
Responsibilities
- Install Configure, administer, and maintain IBM Sterling MFT (Sterling File gateway/Sterling Integrator) and Axway MFT (Axway Secure Transport) platforms.
- Perform upgrades, patching, performance tuning of IBM Sterling MFT and Axway MFT applications.
- Develop and manage secure file transfer workflows between internal systems, external partners, and cloud environments.
- Monitor file transfer systems and MFT processes to ensure reliability, performance, troubleshoot errors, failures, reprocessing or resolve any technical issues related to file transfer systems and SLA compliance.
- Ability to setup and configure file transfer components including Partner Onboarding, Routing Channel Templates/Route Package Templates, SSH profiles/Transfer Sites, PGP keys, Routing Channels/Routes and Subscriptions, protocols, notifications, etc into IBM Sterling SI/SFG and Axway ST.
- Proficient in development and implementation of business processes/workflows or Basic Routing and Advanced Routing and custom components to facilitate different types of file transfer operations.
- Collaborate with applications, infrastructure, business teams and vendors to discuss any new requirements/challenges, implement and integrate MFT solutions with internal applications.
- Document technical designs, workflows, and operational procedures for IBM Sterling and Axway environments.
- Provide on-call support for critical file transfer operations.
- Understanding of firewalls, routing, load balancing, and DMZ configurations Knowledge of DR setup, failover, and backup strategies
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, data protection regulations, and organization policies and guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas of improvement.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of file transfer processes, configurations and changes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of IT security principles and data governance.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Prior experience in Insurance industry.
Tools/Technical Knowledge
- - IBM products – IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, IBM Sterling File Gateway, IBM Sterling Secure Proxy, IBM Sterling Configuration Manager, IBM Control Center.
- Axway MFT – Axway Secure Transport, Gateway, Transfer CFT, File Broker, Sentinel, API Gateway, Policy Studio, Cert Management, Scheduling, and automation
- Cloud computing:
Microsoft Azure and services such as Azure Resources, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure functions and Azure Active Directory.
- Operating System: RHEL, Windows Administration
- Database Knowledges:
Microsoft SQL, Oracle, or other databases for backend integration.
- Programming Knowledge:
Unix Shell, Power Shell, Python and/or any programming language developments for automation and integration.
- Containerization Knowledge: (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Other Tools:
Dynatrace, Foglight, Splunk.
Additional Requirements
- Experience with API-based integration and web services (REST/SOAP).
- Experience with cloud-based integrations (Azure preferred).
- Experience in any other MFT tools and technologies like Globalscape EFT.
- Associate should be able to support at least once a week On-Call on weekends.
- Associate should be able to support and work during US Business Hours
- Associate must follow US Business Holiday schedule.
