JOB DESCRIPTION
The AI Product Manager will be responsible for defining, governing, and delivering AI-driven solutions across the bank under the AI Centre of Excellence. The role ensures that AI initiatives are business-led, value-focused, and compliant, moving systematically from ideation to production and scale.
This role acts as a bridge between business, analytics, data engineering, technology, and governance teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and execution discipline across AI initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF
THE ROLE
- Create and maintain AI product roadmaps, backlogs, and delivery plans.
- Prioritize AI initiatives based on business value, feasibility, and risk considerations.
- Track and report business outcomes and realized value from AI solutions.
- Work with functional teams to identify high-impact AI use cases (Planning & Strategy).
- Work with business, risk, operations, and functional teams to identify needs (Stakeholder interactions).
- Support business teams during pilot and production rollouts (Internal Customer support).
- Capture feedback and drive continuous improvement of AI products (Customer centricity).
- Track adoption metrics to ensure the solution meets user needs.
- Translate business problems into clear AI problem statements and product requirements.
- Coordinate with data science, data engineering, and technology teams to ensure data readiness and feature availability.
- Ensure AI initiatives adhere to AI CoE governance, model risk management, and responsible AI frameworks (Compliance).
- Support model documentation, validation, approvals, and audit requirements (Process Management).
- Ensure timely delivery and compliance with internal SLAs.
- Identify high-impact AI use cases to drive organizational innovation.
- Drive continuous improvement of AI products through iterative learning.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams (Data Science, Tech, Risk) to foster cross-functional knowledge sharing.
- Ensure the organization stays at the forefront of "Responsible AI" frameworks and evolving industry standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Educational
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Management, or a related discipline.
Experience Range (Years and Core Experience Type)
- 2-4 years of experience in product management, analytics, AI, or digital transformation roles.
- Experience working in cross-functional, data-driven environments.
- Exposure to banking, financial services, or regulated industries is preferred.
Certifications
- NA/ Good to have
Functional Skills
- Strong conceptual understanding of AI and Machine Learning techniques (e.g., predictive models, classification, NLP – conceptual level) and software engineering skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into data, feature, and model specifications.
- Understanding of data pipelines, data quality, and feature engineering concepts.
- Familiarity with the AI / ML lifecycle, including development, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Awareness of AI governance, model risk management, and responsible AI principles.
- Working knowledge of Agile / Scrum product delivery methodologies.
- Strong documentation skill
