We are looking for a Cloud Services Engineer to join our Global Cloud Services and Dev Ops team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in Microsoft Azure, excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to grow into Dev Ops practices as part of their career development.
You will provide support for cloud services, manage operational queues in Jira and Service Now, and gain hands-on experience with automation and Dev Ops tools. A key part of this role is the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and Principal Engineers, ensuring smooth collaboration and alignment on technical solutions and operational priorities.
As part of this role, you’ll benefit from training and mentorship in Dev Ops practices, gain hands-on experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines, and receive full support to achieve certifications and advance your professional growth.
THE GIG:
As a Cloud Engineer within our Enterprise Technology team, you will:
- Provide operational support for Azure-based cloud services.
- Monitor and maintain cloud environments to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
- Manage and prioritize support queues in Jira and Service Now, ensuring timely resolution of tickets.
- Assist with troubleshooting and incident resolution across multiple teams.
- Collaborate closely with Principal Engineers and other technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Learn and adopt automation practices by working alongside the Dev Ops team.
- Implement and manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud for security and compliance.
- Document processes and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART:
Must-Have
Experience:
- Good base experience with Microsoft Azure services.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles and compliance.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with proven ability to work across teams.
- Ability to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.
- Basic understanding of ticketing systems such as Jira and Service Now.
- Exposure to one scripting language (Power Shell, Bash, or Python).
- Basic understanding of cloud networking.
- Interest in Dev Ops tools and practices (CI/CD, Terraform).
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail with a strong focus on maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
- Ability to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.
Education:
- Certification:
Microsoft Certified:
Azure Fundamentals.
Desired:
- Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator Associate.
