Director - IT Infrastructure, Network, Cloud and Workspace

Location: Bengaluru

Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure Strategy & Architecture

- Build and execute the global infrastructure roadmap aligned to CPG/FMCG operating models.
- Modernize cloud, network, compute, observability, and workplace technologies — focusing on resilience, speed, cost and automation.
- Standardize infra designs, runbooks, lifecycle governance and operational models across all markets and plants.

2. Cloud Platforms (AWS-led Multi-Cloud)

- Own global AWS architecture — landing zones, security enforcement, DR, Fin Ops.
- Govern Azure and GCP where relevant for specific workloads.
- Ensure compliance, HA/DR posture, performance, and cost guardrails.

3. Integration & Middleware (Mule Soft/APIs)

- Govern infra enablement for Mule Soft and API ecosystems — secure, reliable, scalable connectivity across ERP, data and partner systems.
- Understanding of cloud-native integration patterns;
Mule Soft experience is beneficial, not mandatory.

4. ERP & Enterprise Platforms (SAP on AWS / SAP Basis / RISE Prep)

- Own SAP Basis operations, SAP on AWS hosting, HA/DR, performance tuning and reliability.
- Ensure infra readiness for RISE/S4 migrations.
- Work closely with Enterprise Systems, Cyber and Cloud teams to deliver stable, secure operations.

5. Workplace Technology & End-User Experience (NEW)

- Own and modernize the global digital workplace across India, UK, US and CAA.
- Govern Intune, JAMF, Microsoft 365, Teams, Exchange, Entra , device compliance and zero-trust identity controls.
- Drive AI-driven workplace operations — automated patching, remote remediation, compliance enforcement, and digital experience analytics.
- Ensure standardized Windows/macOS builds, secure provisioning, automated onboarding and offboarding.
- Manage the full endpoint lifecycle across offices, factories and field teams.
- Improve collaboration experience — meeting rooms, VC platforms, network readiness.
- Introduce self-service, self-healing and automation-first workplace models instead of ticket-heavy support.
- Use DEX/AIOps platforms (e.g., Nexthink, Lakeside, Datadog, Dynatrace) for proactive issue detection.

6. Global Infra Operations & Service Delivery (24×7 Model)

- Ensure uninterrupted operations for SAP, supply chain systems, Mule Soft integrations, Snowflake, analytics and collaboration platforms.
- Govern global cloud ops, WAN, SD-WAN, endpoint engineering and service desk operations.
- Run ITIL-driven service delivery — SLA/OLA management, incident/problem/change, capacity/availability governance.

7. Plant IT, OT & Compliance

- Ensure infra readiness and audit compliance across factories in India and global markets.
- Manage validated systems, segmentation, DR walkthroughs, backup integrity, and OT/IT integration aligned with security mandates.
- Build consistent and secure factory infra standards globally.

8. Business Continuity & Resilience

- Own global DR, backup and BCP — tested regularly and board-ready.
- Improve global MTTR, MTBF and overall resilience posture.

9. AI / Automation / AIOps

- Accelerate AIOps adoption for predictive outage detection, autonomous remediation and reduced manual operations.
- Build infra runbooks assuming future actions will be executed or co-piloted by AI.
- Push automation-first thinking across cloud, network, endpoint and factory operations.

10. Leadership & Delivery

- Lead distributed infra teams across India, UK, US and CAA.
- Deliver infra programs — cloud migrations, refresh cycles, SD-WAN, observability rollouts, workplace revamps.
- Govern MSPs and OEMs (AWS, Microsoft, network OEMs, integrators) with strong commercial and SLA discipline.
- Ability to challenge vendors and drive accountability is critical.

Qualifications

- 18+ years in IT Infrastructure/Cloud/Service Delivery leadership.
- Experience in CPG/FMCG/large global enterprises.
- Strong grounding in automation, cloud governance, DR/BCP, cybersecurity and ITIL.
- Proven success running global infra operations across multiple time zones.
- Engineering degree from a top-tier institution (preferred).
