Position: Senior Applied AI Scientist [T500-22867]
Location: Bengaluru

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and development of large-scale AI solutions, exhibiting excellence in applied science and algorithmic aspects, partnering closely with AI Engineers.
- Leverage the best AI algorithms & techniques to solve real business problems benefit ting millions of Best Buy customers daily.
- Deeply hands on, utilizing extensive knowledge of AI/ML algorithms to contribute to the roadmap of Best Buy’s core AI capabilities.
- Partner with global cross-functional teams including AI, data, platforms, products, analytics, business and compliance.

Requirements:

- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, Operations Research or related) OR equivalent relevant professional experience.
- 4+ years building ML / AI driven products for large scale, real time applications. Advanced degrees in relevant fields may count toward experience.
- 2+ years developing real time, ultra low latency models deployed as scalable, cloud native services.
- 2+ years of experience driving applied AI research, including model evaluation, and governance.
- Strong algorithmic background across areas such as LLMs, deep learning, NLP, supervised / unsupervised learning, ranking & recommendation algorithms, causal inference, reinforcement learning and optimization.
- Expert in the Python ecosystem, with mastery of AI/ML frameworks such as scikit learn, PyTorch, Tensor Flow, Hugging Face and Lang Chain.
- Strong, hands on coding proficiency in Python and SQL.

Preferred:

- Experience building ML/AI solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Relevant certifications.
- Open-source contributions, published papers or robust Git Hub portfolio.
