Test Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our fintech team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manual and automated testing across mobile, and backend systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and execute manual test cases for functional and regression testing.
Perform database testing for data-level validation using SQL queries.
Conduct requirement analysis to design effective test strategies.
Maintain and track issues in JIRA , ensuring timely updates and defect resolution.
Execute API testing for backend and frontend services.
Validate EOD (End-of-Day) jobs and batch processes.
Test native mobile applications (iOS/Android).
Develop and maintain mobile automation scripts using Appium and Robot Framework for both iOS and Android platforms.
Collaborate with the development team to analyze, prioritize, and resolve defects.
Monitor and analyze application performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
Perform functional, API, database, and automation testing across multiple layers of the application stack.
Required
Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience in manual testing and test case preparation.
Hands-on expertise in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
Proficiency in SQL for database validation and queries.
Experience with JIRA for defect tracking and project management.
Solid understanding of mobile app testing (iOS/Android).
Practical knowledge of Appium and Robot Framework for mobile automation.
Familiarity with EOD/batch job testing in fintech or similar domains.
Ability to analyze requirements and design effective test strategies.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Experience in monitoring application performance metrics .
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in fintech or financial services domain .
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.
Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
Understanding of backend systems and microservices architecture.
