Principal Functional Consultant, Ariba

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Ariba Functional Analyst to join our Enterprise Systems team, supporting Sourcing and Accounts Payable teams. With deep expertise in both upstream and downstream modules, including Ariba On-Demand and On-Prem implementations. This role requires strong functional and technical acumen, leadership in global rollouts, and the ability to drive integrations with ERP systems like SAP S4.
You will provide recommendations on automation and process improvement opportunities, promote innovative solutions among the various Ariba modules including Buying & Invoicing, Spend Analysis, SLP and SCC modules.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience with the ability to work independently, or in groups, as the lead developer on the projects within established timelines.
• Expertise in Ariba upstream/downstream, CIG, Commerce Automation, and SCC.
Experience with Ariba version upgrades, service pack applications, and OS migrations.
• Extensive in-depth knowledge with hands-on working experience in various Ariba modules, conduct requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design for Ariba modules.
• Configure contract templates, approval workflows, and integrate Ariba with ERP systems (SAP, People Soft, Vertex, UI Path, GRC). Deep understanding of CIG
• Collaborate with Sourcing, AP and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
• Manage offshore delivery teams, oversee workload distribution, and mentor junior team members. Excellent communication skills and partnering with team members and stakeholders working in different time zones.
• Proven ability to resolve high-severity incidents within SLA timelines.
• Facilitate workshops and design sessions for new country rollouts and solution finalization.
• Support all testing phases (Unit, SIT, UAT) and manage go-live and post-go-live activities.
• Strong knowledge of AML, AQL, Java, SQL Server, and PL/SQL. Familiarity with Web Logic, Windows, UNIX, JavaScript, and Shell scripting.
• Requires detail oriented, strong analysis and problem-solving skills. Strong documentation, design review, and code review skills.

· Able to communicate effectively with team members and customers, both written and verbal
