Job Description:

SAS Viya Admin requires understanding of both SAS Viya and Open Shift, including Kubernetes, cloud platforms,

security, and CI/CD processes. The role involves deploying, managing, and maintaining the SAS Viya platform

within Open Shift, ensuring its smooth operation and integration with other systems

Responsibilities:

- Deploying, configuring, and maintaining SAS Viya components within Open Shift environments, including managing storage, networking, and security.
- Working with Open Shift administrators to ensure the platform's stability, performance, and security.
- Integrating SAS Viya with other cloud platforms like AWS/GCP, managing deployments and configurations on platforms like Red Hat Open Shift Service for AWS (ROSA).
- Understanding and working with Kubernetes concepts, including pods, deployments, and name spaces.
- Integrating SAS Viya deployments with CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and automated deployment processes.
- Managing and configuring Security Context Constraints (SCCs) within Open Shift to provide necessary permissions for SAS Viya services.
- Monitoring SAS Viya and Open Shift environments for performance issues and implementing solutions to optimize performance.
- Troubleshooting issues within SAS Viya and Open Shift environments, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions.
