This role is responsible for architecting, securing, optimizing, and operating the Snowflake platform end‑to‑end to ensure high performance, compliance, reliability, and seamless data operations across the organisation.

What You'll Do:

- Environment Architecture & Governance:
Design and standardize Snowflake org/account structures, databases, schemas, and RBAC. Implement row access policies, dynamic masking, tagging, data classifications, cross‑account sharing, replication, failover, and business continuity.
- Identity, Security & Compliance:
Integrate SSO/IAM (Azure AD/Okta), manage network policies, OAuth, key rotation, resource monitors, and account usage monitoring. Partner with Info Sec to meet audit, data residency, and regulatory requirements (PII/PHI).
- Performance & Cost Optimization:
Right‑size warehouses, implement scaling and concurrency controls, tune queries (clustering, pruning, micro‑partitioning), and maintain materialized views/dynamic tables. Govern compute/storage spend via tagging, auto‑suspend/resume, workload isolation, and reporting.
- Data Engineering Operations:
Operate and optimize Snowpipe/auto‑ingest, Tasks, Streams, and bulk loads. Troubleshoot ingestion/backfill issues. Support Snowpark, UDFs, and CI/CD deployment patterns. Maintain observability dashboards and SLA monitoring.
- Automation & Platform Reliability:
Implement IaC using Terraform/YAML, Git Ops workflows, secrets management, and change controls. Build self‑service guardrails, lead incident response, on‑call rotations, and post‑incident reviews.

Expertise You'll Bring:

- 10 years in data/platform administration with 5+ years hands‑on Snowflake at enterprise scale.
- Expert in SQL, RBAC, security policies, and cost governance in Snowflake.
- Strong with one major cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) services around networking, storage, and identity.
- Proficiency in Python/shell scripting; experience with Terraform, Git, CI/CD.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ELT patterns (Fivetran/dbt/Airflow helpful), and performance engineering.
- Track record implementing replication/failover, data sharing, and multi‑cloud topologies.
- Excellent documentation, stakeholder communication, and incident/problem management skills.
- Snowflake Snow Pro Advanced:
Architect or Administrator
- Cloud certs (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, GCP Professional Data
