Senior Business Analyst - E-commerce

Location: Bengaluru

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize business performance for our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring seamless execution of strategies to enhance user experience, sales, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Analyze business processes, user journeys, and platform performance to identify growth opportunities
- Collaborate with product, marketing, operations, and tech teams to define business requirements
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories
- Monitor key metrics such as conversion rates, customer acquisition cost, retention, and revenue
- Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and trend analysis
- Support A/B testing and performance optimization initiatives
- Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for stakeholders
- Identify bottlenecks and recommend scalable solutions for process improvement
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate implementation
- Drive continuous improvement through data insights and analytics

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field
- 4–7 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in e-commerce or digital platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in tools like SQL, Excel, Google Analytics, Power BI/Tableau

- Experience with data visualization and reporting
- Understanding of e-commerce KPIs, funnels, and customer behavior
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Preferred Background

- Experience working with product teams or in a product-based company
- Knowledge of digital marketing analytics (SEO, SEM, paid ads)
- Exposure to CRM tools and customer segmentation strategies
- Basic understanding of APIs and system integrations
