Role Overview
The Head of SEO & AEO will lead the agency’s organic growth and search visibility practice across SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), AI search readiness, and content-led discoverability.
This role is not limited to rankings and audits. It combines strategy, operations, content understanding, technical SEO, AI-era search behavior, and client leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. SEO, AEO & Organic Growth Strategy
Lead SEO, AEO, GEO, and AI-search visibility strategies across enterprise B2B accounts
Define scalable frameworks for content discoverability, authority building, semantic optimization, and search performance
Build strategies across technical SEO, content SEO, structured search, schema, conversational search, and AI-generated answer ecosystems
Continuously evolve agency capabilities in line with changing search behavior and AI-driven discovery
2. Team Leadership & Capability Building
Lead and mentor the SEO and organic growth team across strategy, delivery, reporting, and optimization
Improve operational structure, quality standards, workflows, and reporting systems
Support hiring, training, and capability development within the SEO function
Build scalable systems that improve consistency, speed, and delivery quality
3. Client Strategy & Business Support
Participate in key client conversations, pitches, workshops, and strategic discussions
Translate complex search and AI concepts into practical business recommendations
Help position SEO and organic growth as strategic business capabilities rather than execution-only services
4. AI, Search Innovation & Future Readiness
Stay ahead of changes in:
AI Overviews
LLM retrieval behavior
conversational search
semantic indexing
AI-assisted search experiences
Explore AI-assisted workflows, automation, and optimization systems within SEO operations
Help shape the agency’s long-term organic growth and search positioning
Desired Skills & Experience
9–12+ years of experience in SEO, organic growth, search strategy, or digital marketing roles
Strong understanding of technical SEO, content SEO, structured search, and analytics
Strong understanding of evolving AI-search ecosystems and AEO/GEO concepts
Experience working on enterprise or B2B brands is strongly preferred
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Curiosity, adaptability, and strong ownership mindset
