THIS IS A LONG TERM CONTRACT POSITION WITH ONE OF THE LARGEST GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY LEADERS.
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer to join a large-scale enterprise voice transformation program. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Teams Phone, Direct Routing, Operator Connect, Calling Plans, and enterprise telephony migrations. This role involves designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Teams Voice solutions while working closely with infrastructure, telecom, network, and support teams to deliver reliable and scalable communication services across the organization.
Required Experience
5–10 years of IT experience
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Phone / Teams Voice
Experience with Direct Routing, Operator Connect, and Microsoft Calling Plans
Expertise in Dial Plans, Voice Routing Policies, Calling Policies, Auto Attendants, and Call Queues
Experience with Session Border Controllers (Audio Codes, Ribbon, Oracle, Cisco, etc.)
Strong knowledge of SIP, RTP/SRTP, TLS, DNS, NAT, Firewalls, QoS, and Voice Troubleshooting
Experience with Teams Admin Center and Power Shell
Experience with Number Porting, DID Management, and Telecom Carrier Coordination
Experience supporting enterprise voice migrations from Cisco CUCM, Avaya, Skype for Business, or similar platforms
Responsibilities
Design and implement Microsoft Teams Phone solutions
Configure Enterprise Voice, Voicemail, Dial Plans, and Voice Routing
Support Operator Connect, Calling Plans, and Direct Routing deployments
Execute migration and cutover activities from legacy telephony platforms
Troubleshoot call quality, routing, and voice service issues
Coordinate with telecom providers, infrastructure, network, and support teams
Create technical documentation, migration runbooks, and support guides
Preferred Skills
Microsoft Teams Voice deployment experience in large enterprise environments
Microsoft certifications such as MS-700 or Teams Administrator
Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Entra , and Intune
Experience with global voice deployments
