Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Infra. Technology Specialist with expertise in z/OS Administration to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have between 6 to 10 years of experience and will work in a hybrid model with day shifts. This role does not require travel. The candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our infrastructure ensuring seamless operations and contributing to our companys success.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the z/OS environment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Oversee system configurations and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for z/OS systems to minimize downtime and enhance user experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure improvements and upgrades.
Monitor system performance and implement necessary adjustments to optimize resource utilization.
Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations processes and procedures.
Ensure data integrity and security by implementing robust backup and recovery strategies.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
Assist in capacity planning and forecasting to support future growth and scalability.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity.
Provide training and guidance to junior team members to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for z/OS administration.
Qualifications
Possess a strong background in z/OS Administration with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Show proficiency in system performance monitoring and optimization techniques.
Have experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation.
Display a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential system vulnerabilities.
Be knowledgeable about industry standards and best practices in infrastructure management.
