Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide Application Maintenance (L2/L3) and Development (enhancement) support for SAP MDG activities.
Configure and customize MDG data models, workflows, and business rules for master data domains (Material, Vendor, Customer, Finance) per approved design.
Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into MDG solutions.
Develop and maintain enhancements, validations, and derivations using BRF+, BADI, and ABAP.
Perform unit testing, integration testing support, and defect resolution.
Support MDG integration across SAP and non-SAP systems and ensure system alignment.
Perform master data quality checks, cleansing, and harmonization tasks.
Document MDG configurations, processes, and governance frameworks for compliance and audit needs.
Support transport management and release activities.
Provide technical troubleshooting during releases and hypercare periods.
Assist in user support, troubleshooting, and resolution during system releases and updates.
Provide inputs to ITIL-based processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in special projects related to data governance and digital transformation.
Support cross-functional data strategy initiatives involving MDG and enterprise data architecture.
Skills Required:
Strong experience working with SAP MDG and SAP S/4
HANA environments.
Experience in implementation, configuration, and integration of SAP MDG solutions.
Knowledge of master data domains such as Material, Vendor, Customer, and Finance.
Hands-on experience with ABAP, BRF+, BADI, and workflow configuration within SAP MDG.
Understanding of integration between SAP and non-SAP systems.
Experience working with SAP SD, SAP MM modules, and SAP Fiori applications.
Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and data harmonization.
Familiarity with testing processes including unit testing and integration testing.
Strong analytical, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).
