Role Overview Description
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly experienced Test Architect to define and drive cutting-edge testing strategies across our web and mobile platforms. This role demands deep technical expertise and a strategic mindset to enhance test effectiveness, automation maturity, and product quality.
Youll work closely with development, QA, Dev Ops, and product teams to build scalable test frameworks, integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipelines, and champion modern QA practices. Your impact will be felt across the entire development lifecyclefrom design to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Test Planning:
Define and evolve the testing strategy covering unit, integration, system, acceptance, performance, security, and UI testing.
Test Automation Architecture:
Design, build, and maintain robust, reusable, and scalable test automation frameworks for web, mobile (iOS & Android), API, and backend services.
Performance Testing:
Design performance benchmarking and validation initiatives using tools like JMeter, Gatling etc.
CI/CD Integration:
Ensure seamless integration of automation into the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, etc.). Monitor and continuously improve the pipeline for test efficiency and speed.
Tools & Technology Evangelism:
Evaluate and introduce modern test tools, frameworks, and practices. Lead PoCs and guide adoption to suit team needs.
Mentoring & Technical Leadership:
Mentor QA engineers and developers on test design, automation coding standards, debugging, and quality best practices. Promote a quality-first mindset across teams.
Technical
Skills & Experience Required:
10+ years of QA experience with at least 7-8 years in test automation and architecture roles.
Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or Kotlin.
Hands-on experience with mobile test automation tools (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).
Proficiency in web testing tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc.).
Deep understanding of REST API testing using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or Karate.
Experience in performance testing (JMeter, Gatling, Blaze Meter)
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud testing platforms (Browser Stack, Sauce Labs, etc.).
Experience with test management and reporting tools like Test Rail, Allure, or Zephyr.
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and Dev Ops practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications in ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation, Performance Testing, or equivalent.
Exposure to BDD frameworks like Cucumber or Spec Flow.
