About the Role
The Transition Solution Leader (TSL) is a senior, client-facing expert responsible for architecting end-to-end transition solutions across Single Tower and Multi-Tower outsourcing engagements. The TSL works closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, Delivery, and the client organization to design commercially viable, risk-mitigated transition solutions and defend them convincingly during Solution Defence sessions
This role demands deep domain expertise, sharp commercial acumen, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex, time-pressured deal cycles. The TSL is the primary accountable owner of the Transition Solution from initial pursuit through contract signature and knowledge transfer to the delivery tea
m.
Key Responsibilit
ies
1. Solution Design & Architec
ture
Lead the design of transition solutions for Single Tower engagements (e.g., IT Infrastructure, Application Management, Service Desk, BPO) and complex Multi-Tower deals spanning multiple service doma
ins.
Develop comprehensive transition plans including scope definition, workstream decomposition, milestones, resource plans, risk registers, and governance framewo
rks.
Create detailed transition blueprints — Wave Plans, RAID Logs, Knowledge Transfer (KT) frameworks, and Day-1 Readiness checkli
sts.
Define and validate the as-is state through due diligence, RFP analysis, client workshops, and site assessme
nts.
Architect the to-be operating model aligned with contractual SLAs, commercials, and client transformation objecti
ves.
2. Multi-Tower Solutio
ning Orchestrate solution inputs from multiple tower leads (Infrastructure, Applications, Security, Workplace, BPO, Cloud, etc.) into a cohesive, integrated transition solut
ion.
Identify inter-tower dependencies, sequencing constraints, and integration risks and build mitigation strategies into the solut
ion.
Ensure consistency and alignment of transition timelines, milestones, and resourcing across all tow
ers.
Drive commercial optimization by identifying synergies and shared services opportunities across tow
ers.
3. Solution Defence & Client Presentat
ions
Own and lead Solution Defence presentations before client evaluation panels, procurement teams, and senior stakehold
ers.
Present transition approach, methodology, risk management strategies, and success metrics with clarity and confide
nce.
Address technical, operational, and commercial challenges raised by the client during orals, deep-dives, and negotiati
ons.
Produce high-quality solution artefacts including executive summaries, solution narratives, presentation decks, and detailed transition plans for submiss
ion.
4. Pre-Sales & Bid Management Sup
port Actively engage in RFP/RFI/RFQ response cycles from qualification through final submiss
ion.
Collaborate with Bid Managers, Commercial leads, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to build winning propositi
ons.
Estimate transition effort, duration, cost, and risk for deal pricing and commerci
als.
Develop and maintain reusable solution assets, templates, and playbooks to improve pursuit efficie
ncy.
5. Stakeholder & Governance Manage
ment Engage C-level and VP-level client stakeholders to align solution design with strategic objecti
ves.
Facilitate internal governance reviews with Delivery, Legal, Finance, and Risk teams to gain solution sign
- off.
Manage expectations across internal and external stakeholders throughout the deal lifecy
cle.
6. Transition Delivery Oversight (Deal Cl
ose)
Provide a seamless handover from solution to delivery upon contract award — including transition playbook, assumptions register, and onboarding briefi
ngs.
Support the Transition Delivery Manager during the initial mobilization phase to ensure solution intent is preser
ved.
Required Qualifications & Exper
ienceEduc
ation
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (requi
red).MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (prefer
red).
Expe
rience
12+ years of overall experience in IT Services, Outsourcing, or Management Consu
lting.
Minimum 5 years in Transition Leadership, Solution Architecture, or Bid/Pursuit Management
roles.
