QA Lead  in our office in Bengaluru

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to own and drive quality charters for critical trading and fintech platforms. This role is suited for someone with strong QA fundamentals, hands-on technical depth, a high ownership mindset, and the ability to lead a small team of QA engineers.
The ideal candidate should not view QA responsibility as ending with product release. For us, quality ownership continues into production through monitoring, defect analysis, customer feedback, and continuous improvement. Prior experience in the trading ecosystem, especially with trading terminals or broker platforms, will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Own the QA charter for one or more product areas across functional, integration, regression, automation, and production-readiness testing.
Lead, manage, and mentor a small QA team of 3–4 QA engineers.
Define test strategy, test plans, release validation approach, and risk-based testing priorities.
Partner closely with engineering, product, program, business, data, support, and operations teams to ensure quality is built into the product lifecycle.
Understand stakeholder expectations and communicate quality status, release risks, trade-offs, dependencies, and blockers clearly.
Drive early QA involvement in requirement discussions, design reviews, sprint planning, and production readiness reviews.
Champion best QA practices across automation, test coverage, regression discipline, test data management, and defect prevention.
Build and improve automation coverage across critical business flows, APIs, UI journeys, integrations, and regression suites.
Analyze production defects, escaped issues, customer impact, and operational gaps to continuously improve test coverage and release confidence.
Bring structure to ambiguous requirements by identifying risks, edge cases, assumptions, and validation needs.
Ensure critical trading workflows are tested for correctness, reliability, data integrity, performance, and operational resilience.

Required Skills and Experience
8–10 years of hands-on QA experience, preferably in complex product or platform environments.
Prior experience leading QA charters or managing a small QA team.
Strong QA fundamentals across test planning, test design, exploratory testing, regression testing, defect lifecycle, and release validation.
Hands-on experience with API, UI (mobile & web), integration, and regression automation.
Exposure to at least one programming language for automation or tooling;

Experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, Karate, Postman, PyTest, or similar.
Working knowledge of SQL, logs, dashboards, monitoring tools, CI/CD pipelines, and production debugging.
Ability to handle ambiguity and convert unclear requirements into structured QA plans.
Excellent communication skills, especially in articulating risks, dependencies, release readiness, and quality trade-offs.
Strong collaboration skills with experience working across engineering, product, program, data, business, and support teams.

Experience with production issue analysis, root cause analysis, defect leakage tracking, and continuous quality improvement.
Good understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery models.

Domain Advantage
Experience in trading, broking, capital…
