Primary Skills (Must Have)
Strong expertise in SQL with focus on data transformation, analytical queries, and performance optimization.
Hands-on experience working with financial and cloud usage datasets and billing data structures.
Experience developing data solutions using Synapse SQL and cloud-based analytical platforms.
Strong understanding of data modeling and schema design for analytical and reporting use cases.
Experience supporting Power BI reporting through optimized SQL data layers.
Knowledge of data quality frameworks, validation techniques, and reconciliation processes.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP from a data and billing perspective.
Experience integrating data from APIs into SQL-based analytical environments.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to data accuracy, integrity, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, views, and data models for cloud cost, usage, billing, and operational datasets.
Build and enhance SQL-based data solutions using Synapse SQL and analytical data platforms.
Transform complex financial and cloud usage data into clean, structured, and harmonized datasets for Fin Ops analytics.
Collaborate with Fin Ops stakeholders to support cost tracking, budgeting, forecasting, chargeback/showback, and anomaly detection.
Design analytical schemas and data models optimized for cloud spend optimization, utilization, and efficiency reporting.
Implement SQL-driven data quality checks, validations, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
Provide optimized and well-documented data layers to support Power BI dashboards and enterprise reporting.
Monitor SQL query performance, data refresh SLAs, and pipeline health; troubleshoot data quality and latency issues.
Ensure compliance with data governance, security standards, and financial audit requirements when handling sensitive cost data.
