Director of Sales And Business Development (Staffing)

About Job:
The Director of Sales & Business Development is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, acquiring new clients, and building strategic partnerships within the staffing and workforce solutions industry. This role leads business development initiatives, manages key client relationships, and collaborates with recruiting and delivery teams to ensure successful execution of client engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership
Develop and execute the global sales strategy for staffing solutions.
Drive revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability across enterprise clients.
Identify and pursue large digital transformation and consulting opportunities.
Build a high-quality sales pipeline (3–5x annual quota) and deliver predictable revenue growth.
Business Development
Drive new logo acquisition across BFS, P&C Insurance, Life Sciences, and Healthcare sectors.
Lead end-to-end enterprise sales cycles from opportunity identification to deal closure.
Build and manage strategic relationships with enterprise clients, MSPs, and consulting partners.
Lead large deal pursuits, contract negotiations, and commercial structuring.
Team Leadership
Build, mentor, and manage high-performing sales and account management teams.
Collaborate with recruitment, delivery, and operations teams to ensure successful client delivery.
Establish sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics.
Foster a results-driven and client-focused sales culture.
Clients & Market Growth
Identify emerging technology trends and staffing demands in areas such as - Cloud, Data & Analytics, Digital Transformation, AI & Automation.
Expand the company's market footprint in IT consulting and workforce solutions.
Operational Excellence
Collaborate with recruitment, delivery, and operations teams to ensure successful client delivery.
Develop pricing strategies, sales forecasting, and pipeline management.
Ensure compliance with staffing contracts and vendor program requirements.
Qualification & Requirements
Experience
15+ years of experience in IT services, consulting sales, or IT staffing sales.
8+ years of experience selling into BFS, P&C Insurance, Life Sciences, or Healthcare sectors.
Proven track record of closing $5M+ digital transformation or IT services deals.
Strong experience in enterprise client acquisition and strategic account growth.
Experience working with MSPs, VMS programs, and global delivery models.
Industry Knowledge
Deep understanding of IT services, consulting, and staffing business models.
Strong knowledge of enterprise technology transformation initiatives.
Familiarity with insurance platforms, healthcare technologies, and life sciences systems.
Leadership & Skills
Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Strong strategic planning and sales execution capabilities.
Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
Ability to drive business growth in competitive markets.
