Systems Administrator (Mid/Senior Level)
Infrastructure & IT Operations | Advertising & Episodic VFX Studio
We're seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator to support and evolve our studio infrastructure across Linux, Windows, and macOS environments. You'll help keep our production pipeline running smoothly for both on-site teams and remote artists while contributing to automation and infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Support and resolve infrastructure issues across Linux, Windows, and macOS environments.
Administer core studio systems including storage, networking, compute, and user management.
Manage onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning, and workstation deployment.
Support artists and staff across active productions, both onsite and remote.
Contribute to infrastructure improvements, automation initiatives, and system documentation.
Mentor junior team members and help maintain a collaborative team culture.
Required Skills
Linux (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu), Windows Server, Active Directory, and macOS administration.
Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls).
Storage systems, backup and disaster recovery.
Scripting and automation with Python and Bash.
Experience with Git and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Experience
VFX, animation, broadcast, gaming, or post-production environments.
Render farm management and remote artist support.
Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and monitoring tools such as Grafana or Prometheus.
Experience building internal tools and workflow automation.
