Lead Data Scientist

Location: Bengaluru

We are seeking an experienced and innovative  Lead – Data Scientist  to drive the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI/ML solutions across our telecom and CPaaS platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, and MLOps, along with a proven ability to lead teams and deliver scalable AI solutions in production environments.

You’ll be Responsible for:

• Design, develop and implement cutting-edge AI/ML solutions, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI applications.

• Own ML problem framing from business requirements to production rollout.

• Architect scalable ML pipelines for large-volume, near-real-time telecom data.

• Drive experimentation culture (A/B testing, uplift modeling, causal analysis).

• Mentor and technically guide data scientists and ML engineers.

• Collaborate with platform, infra, and product teams on ML integration.

• Establish best practices for responsible AI development and deployment.

• Define best practices for: o Feature engineering on messaging and event data o Model monitoring, retraining, and drift detection o Responsible AI and regulatory compliance (telecom + privacy)

What you’d have:

• AI-ML Data Scientist with 8 – 10 years of relevant experience.

• Strong expertise in traditional machine learning/Deep learning frameworks and tools:
Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Keras, Sklearn
LLM frameworks (Lang Chain, Llama Index, CrewAI, Auto Gen)
Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB)

• Proven experience in data preparation, including:
Advanced data preprocessing techniques
Feature engineering
Data quality assessment and improvement

• Proficiency in data exploration tools (Pandas, Numpy, Polars).

• Strong programming skills in Python; R is a plus.

• Deep understanding of:
Statistics and probability
ML/DL algorithms
AI governance and responsible AI practices

• Experience with: o Large-scale data processing
Model deployment and MLOps
Cost optimization for AI systems

• Track record of minimum 5 successful AI/ML projects in production.

• Excellent communication skills and team leadership ability.

• Continuous learning mindset for emerging AI technologies.
