Application Support engineer to provide L1/L2 - 24/7 retail banking and payments application support experience in banking domain, analyze, debug & resolve production issues. Running End of Day batch jobs in Core banking applications, responsible for troubleshooting, application monitoring, log checking, Incident management & resolution, fine tuning, root cause analysis, scripting and automation skills

Required Technical and Professional Expertise :
4 to 6 years experience in providing L1/L2 application support for core banking applications like Flexcube Retail (FCR) India banking system, running EOD/BOD batch jobs, resolving aborts, log monitoring, analysis and resolution etc
Should be able to write SQL queries with an understanding of the back end tables.
Knowledge in banking domain, especially for India specific requirements.
Perform server prerequisite installation and environment setup.
Install and configure middleware platforms such as Tomcat, JBoss, NGINX, Web Logic.
Deploy Java, Python, React, and microservice-based applications across environments.
Configure hostname mappings, DNS entries, and virtual hosts.
Configure and troubleshoot HTTPS, SSL/TLS certificates, keystores, and trust stores.
Implement secure cipher suites and TLS hardening.
Configure application properties, data source connections, and environment variables.
Support deployment activities across different environments.
Perform deployment validation, smoke testing, and rollback activities.
Troubleshoot deployment and middleware issues using logs and monitoring tools.
Coordinate with infrastructure, network, DBA, security, and application teams.
Maintain deployment documentation, SOPs, and release notes.
Support production releases and environment stabilization activities.
Ensure compliance with banking security and audit requirements

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Software Engineering Life Cycle deliverables for banking projects
Work closely with the business and IT teams to analyse business requirements, analyse and resolve production issues, root cause analysis, identify automation scope etc
SQL, Linux, Oracle, IIS, Devops, API, troubleshooting, application monitoring, log checking, Incident management & resolution
Experience in using and implementing Dev Sec Ops processes
