Location: Bengaluru
Role Overview
We are looking for Data Engineers with hands-on experience in building and managing data pipelines and data platforms across Azure and/or AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ETL development, data modeling, and building scalable data solutions such as data warehouses, data marts, and data products.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data
• Work on data ingestion, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
• Build and manage data warehouses, data marts, and data products
• Perform data cleaning, validation, and transformation to ensure high-quality datasets
• Create and maintain source-to-target mappings (STTM) and data flow documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Ensure adherence to data quality standards and governance policies
• Support deployment and monitoring of data workflows in cloud environments (Azure/AWS)
Required Skills & Experience
• 3 – 4 Yrs of experience in Data Engineering / Data Development
• Strong hands-on experience in ETL tools or frameworks
• Experience working with cloud platforms – Azure and/or AWS
• AWS expertise preferred for Bandhan Life role
• Good understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schema)
• Experience in building data warehouses / data marts / data products
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred)
• Experience with data ingestion and transformation tools
• Knowledge of source-to-target mapping and data lineage concepts
• Understanding of data quality frameworks and governance principles
• Experience with tools like Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks
• Exposure to big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
• Basic understanding of data security and compliance standards (especially in BFSI domain)
