Summary Description
We are building a scalable system to generate audio descriptions (AD) for educational video
content. This role is responsible for ensuring that generated descriptions are accurate, useful,
and consistent, acting as a critical part of the human-in-the-loop review process.

Essential Job Functions
Review & Quality Assurance

• Review and validate AI-generated audio descriptions for accuracy, clarity, and
instructional value

• Evaluate whether descriptions meaningfully support comprehension and learning
outcomes for visually impaired users

• Identify inaccuracies, hallucinations, or misleading AI-generated interpretations
Editorial Judgement

• Apply clear decision-making to determine when description is required versus when
content should be intentionally skipped

• Edit and refine descriptions for clarity, brevity, and timing

• Ensure descriptions align with accessibility standards and internal guidelines
Timing & Delivery

• Review pacing and readability to ensure descriptions fit naturally within available
gaps

• Understand when silence should be preserved rather than filled with description
Consistency & Scalability

• Ensure consistency of style, tone, and quality across large volumes of content

• Maintain consistency through structured review processes and calibration exercises
Continuous Improvement

• Identify recurring issues and patterns in AI outputs and escalate them appropriately

• Flag edge cases (grey areas) and contribute to the refinement of review guidelines

• Provide structured feedback to improve workflows and outputs
Skills & Experience

• Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail

• Ability to apply rules and guidelines consistently

• Strong critical thinking — able to decide what is meaningful, not just what is visible

• Ability to make consistent decisions within structured workflows

• Pattern recognition — spotting systemic issues across outputs

• Clear, concise writing and editing ability

• Comfortable working with high-volume, repeatable review workflows

• Ability to provide clear, structured feedback

• Basic confidence working with digital tools and platforms
Technical Skills

• Accessibility (audio description, captioning, WCAG)

• Education or instructional content

• Content QA or editorial review roles

• Experience reviewing AI-generated content
