Job Description

BFSI Domain Expert is a senior leadership role responsible for defining enterprise-wide domain strategy, governance, and transformation across fraud & risk, payments, customer lifecycle, compliance, cybersecurity, and ecosystem growth. The role acts as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, shaping business outcomes, regulatory readiness, and scalable digital financial platforms.
Experience & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in BFSI, Payments, Fin Tech, or top-tier Consulting firms.

Proven track record in enterprise-scale fraud, risk, payments, or digital transformation programs.

• Strong exposure to regulatory frameworks (AML, KYC, PCI-DSS, data privacy, local/global banking regulations).

• Relevant certifications (CAMS, FRM, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent) preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Enterprise Fraud & Risk Leadership

• Define and own enterprise fraud and risk strategy across customer, transaction, merchant, and ecosystem risks.

• Drive advanced fraud prevention approaches using behavioral analytics, AI/ML models, and real-time decisioning.

• Oversee fraud governance, loss management, escalation frameworks, and regulatory reporting. Customer Acquisition, Onboarding & Servicing Strategy

• Set strategic direction for digital customer acquisition and onboarding, balancing growth, experience, and risk.

• Ensure compliant-by-design onboarding (eKYC, AML, identity verification) aligned with regional and global regulations.

• Define future-state customer servicing models leveraging automation, self-service, and AI. Loyalty, Membership & Engagement Programs

• Provide executive oversight for loyalty and membership rewards strategy, including tiering, earn/burn economics, and partnerships.

• Align engagement programs with customer lifetime value, profitability, and fraud controls.

• Govern loyalty risk, abuse prevention, and partner compliance.
Payments & Authorization Strategy

• Lead domain strategy for payments and authorization platforms, covering cards, real-time payments, wallets, and emerging rails.

• Optimize authorization rates, fraud thresholds, customer experience, and cost efficiency.
• Advise on payment innovation, partnerships, and ecosystem integration.
Compliance, Governance & Regulatory Leadership

• Act as senior authority on regulatory compliance, governance frameworks, and risk policies.
• Interface with regulators, auditors, and internal risk/compliance leaders.

• Ensure regulatory readiness for audits, new products, and market expansions.
Personalized Campaigns & Marketing Enablement

• Guide enterprise personalization strategies using data, customer insights, and risk-aware segmentation.

• Ensure marketing initiatives adhere to consent management, data privacy, and regulatory standards.

• Measure business impact while mitigating campaign-related fraud and misuse.
Cyber Security & Information Security Oversight

• Partner with cybersecurity leadership to define security architecture, controls, and risk posture.

• Support enterprise initiatives related to data protection, cyber resilience, and incident response.

• Align Info Sec strategies with business growth and regulatory expectations.
Merchant Marketing & Ecosystem Growth

• Define merchant acquisition and lifecycle strategies, including risk, pricing, onboarding, and enablement.

• Drive merchant-focused marketing, partnerships, and ecosystem expansion.

• Govern merchant fraud, disputes, and compliance standards.
Leadership & Influence

• Serve as Principal Advisor to CXOs, business heads, and product leadership.

• Influence enterprise roadmaps, investment decisions, and transformation initiatives.

• Mentor senior domain specialists and build domain excellence across the organization.
