Service Now ITOM Specialist – ITOM & Sec Ops Implementation Role Summary FirstQA Systems Limited is one of the oldest Service Now Partner since 2012. We are hiring an experienced Service Now ITOM Specialist based out of India with strong expertise in designing, configuring, and deploying IT Operations Management (ITOM) and Security Operations (Sec Ops) modules.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB enhancements, and Sec Ops workflows to improve operational visibility, automation, and security response. Based on projects, the Service Now ITOM Specialist will have to travel to Japan for 2 to 3 months at a stretch. The role is based out of India.
Key Responsibilities IT Operations Management (ITOM)
• Implement and optimize Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration, and CMDB.
• Configure MID Servers, credentials, patterns, probes, sensors, and integrations.
• Ensure CMDB data accuracy and compliance with CSDM standards.
• Develop and maintain service maps for key business services.

Integrate ITOM with monitoring tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, Solar Winds, Dynatrace, Zabbix, Splunk).
• Automate operational workflows for incident, change, and problem management.
• Cloud Discovery (AWS, Azure, GCP) implementation and troubleshooting Security Operations (Sec Ops)
• Implement and configure Security Incident Response (SIR), Vulnerability Response (VR), and Threat Intelligence modules.
• Integrate Sec Ops with security tools such as SIEM (Ex: Rapid7, Splunk, QRadar, Azure Sentinel), vulnerability scanners (Tenable, Qualys), and threat feeds.
• Build playbooks, automated workflows, and response orchestration.
• Improve and automate the vulnerability lifecycle and security incident response processes.
• Ensure data mapping between Sec Ops, CMDB, and IT processes. Required Skills & Experience
• 4 to 7+ years hands-on experience with Service Now ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management).
• Experience with Sec Ops modules (SIR, VR, Threat Intelligence).
• Strong understanding of CSDM 4.0+, CMDB architecture, and data quality best practices.
• Experience with API integrations (REST/SOAP), MID Server management, and automation workflows.
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid network architecture.
• Service Now certifications such as:
o Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA)
o ITOM Implementation Specialist
o Discovery/Service Mapping Specialist
o Sec Ops Implementation Specialist (preferred)
Soft Skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams (IT, Security, Infrastructure).
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
