Position: Senior System Engineer-3 Windows admin
Location: Bengaluru

The Senior Wintel Engineer – L3 is responsible for advanced administration, engineering, troubleshooting, optimization, and lifecycle management of enterprise Windows Server, VMware, Citrix, x86 hardware, and associated infrastructure platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. The role acts as the Level 3 technical escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents and problems and is expected to provide technical leadership during major incidents, perform root cause analysis, identify permanent corrective actions, drive automation and standardization, and contribute to infrastructure architecture, capacity planning, security, availability, and technology lifecycle initiatives.

The engineer will also provide technical guidance and mentoring to L1/L2 teams and work closely with application, database, network, security, cloud, architecture, service management, and vendor teams.

Mandatory

• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise Wintel environments.

• Strong administration experience with Windows Server platforms.

• Experience managing VMware virtualization infrastructure.

• Experience supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.

• Knowledge of x86 server hardware architecture.

• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.

• Experience with server patching and vulnerability management.

• Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

• Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management practices.

Preferred

• VMware cluster administration (HA, DRS, vMotion).

• Citrix published applications and VDI administration.

• Azure-based virtual server administration.

• Power Shell and PowerCLI scripting.

• Infrastructure monitoring and capacity planning.

• Continuous learning and improvement mindset. Strong documentation skills

• Exposure to backup technologies and disaster recovery processes.
