Role Description The Engineering Manager – Container Orchestration Security will lead a technical team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining security solutions focused on containerized and cloud-native environments. This full-time, on-site role in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam involves overseeing end-to-end software development activities, guiding architectural decisions, and ensuring secure integration of container orchestration technologies into Sec Pod’s Saner Platform. The role includes managing project planning and execution, aligning engineering priorities with product and security requirements, and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams.
The Engineering Manager will also mentor team members, promote best practices in secure coding and Dev Sec Ops , and drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and product quality.
Qualifications
Strong Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills to guide, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
Hands-on Software Development experience, ideally in cloud-native, containerized, and microservices-based architectures.
Proficiency in Project Management to plan, prioritize, and deliver complex security-focused engineering initiatives on schedule.
Experience with Integration of container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes) and security tooling into large-scale systems.
Solid understanding of container security, cloud security, and Dev Sec Ops practices.
Ability to collaborate effectively with product, security, and operations stakeholders, with clear communication and decision-making skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
Prior experience managing engineering teams in cybersecurity or cloud-native product companies is highly beneficial.
