About the Role
We are looking for an Application Server Engineer to strengthen our Application Services team. In this role, you will ensure the stability, security, and performance of our application server environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and understand our Application Server Principal Guidelines.
• Familiarize yourself with our foundational standards, best practices, and expectations.
• LCM OS & ALM (Lifecycle & Application Lifecycle Management)
• Operating system lifecycle management
• Application lifecycle management, patching, updates, and version control
• Security Management
• Implementation of security policies and controls
• Certificate management, system hardening, vulnerability follow-up
• Integration Partners
• Collaboration with internal and external integration partners
• Technical coordination and follow-up across multi-stakeholder environments
• Business Support Incident
• Level 3 support for business applications
• Incident analysis, communication, troubleshooting, and resolution
• ITIL & BCP
• Participation in ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
• Disaster Recovery Plan activities excercices once/year per critical package
• Standard AG Process Compliance
• Strict adherence to internal compliance frameworks and standardized processes
• Improvement & Automation
Application Server
• Contribution to operational excellence
• Identification and implementation of automation opportunities to streamline processes
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
• Experience with Windows server and Linux server (nice to have)
• Familiarity with application servers (IIS, Tomcat, Web Logic, etc.)
• Scripting/automation skills (Power Shell)
• Understanding of authentication, certificates, and security practices
• Basic networking knowledge (basic function from the server level)
Methodology & Processes
• Good understanding of ITIL practices
• Ability to work in a structured, compliant, and documentation-driven environment
Soft Skills
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Clear and effective communication
• Team-oriented mindset with proactive behavior
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams, business users, and external partners
