Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Head – Procurement to lead and manage the end-to-end procurement and supply chain operations. The candidate must have strong connections with pharmaceutical companies, distributors, stockists, and healthcare vendors to ensure uninterrupted supply, competitive pricing, and strategic vendor partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement & Vendor Management

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business goals

• Maintain strong relationships with pharma companies, distributors, and super stockists

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit limits, and supply contracts

• Identify and onboard new vendors for better margins and product availability

• Ensure timely procurement of medicines, consumables, surgical items, and diagnostics supplies

2. Supply Chain Operations

• Oversee inventory planning, demand forecasting, and stock optimization

• Ensure minimum stock-outs and reduce dead/slow-moving inventory

• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and store teams

• Monitor expiry management and stock rotation

3. Cost Optimization & Profitability

• Improve gross margins through strategic sourcing

• Analyze purchase trends and optimize procurement cost

• Implement cost-saving initiatives

4. Compliance & Quality

• Ensure procurement complies with regulatory standards (Drug Control, GST, etc.)

• Maintain documentation and audit readiness

• Ensure quality and authenticity of procured products

5. Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor procurement and supply chain teams

• Set KPIs and monitor performance

• Coordinate with Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams

Eligibility Criteria:

•

Experience:

12+ years in pharma procurement / healthcare supply chain

• Proven experience handling bulk procurement and vendor negotiations

• Experience in hospital pharmacy / diagnostic chain / retail pharma preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy / Supply Chain / Business Administration

• MBA in Supply Chain Management preferred
