Job Summary:

Flowserve is looking for a Buyer to help achieve our team goals by guaranteeing the purchase of Indirect items and services at the best conditions of price, quality and deadlines, in accordance with recommendations of global Supply Chain Team. In this role you will develop and implement purchasing strategies, with the goal of increasing our service level and our on-time delivery to meet our internal customers requirements.

You will work on strengthening the alignment of the Company's Purchasing strategy and business strategy. Having the full ownership of the suppliers portfolio for Indirect Items, you will work in close relationship with supply team to improve our delivery.

Responsibilities:

Will be responsible for procurement of Castings (All Grades) and Forging parts
Ensuring release of PO's to respective suppliers against PR's per LT guidelines
Followup and get the OA's
Align the supplier promise dates between Planning and suppliers
Update ERP system on supplier promise dates against respective lines
Follow up on orders placed to ensure on time delivery on both external suppliers and intercompany orders.
Ensure On Time Delivery per KPI targets
Coordination with logistics for pick up of ready parts
Ensure smooth inwarding of goods
Resolve and Invoice related issues
Monitor and Improve supplier's performance
Proactively identify and resolve any issues with the importing processes of goods to the local service center as well as coordination and problem solving for fulfilling contractual deliveries.
Lead and manage complete cycle of PR to Pay process
Maintain systems per ISO & EMS requirements
Collaboration with relevant functions
Accountable for Supplier Performance for all the assigned suppliers

Preferred

Skills:

BE in Mechanical Engineering / Any Graduate with 5 - 8 years of Experience preferably in Valve/Pumps/Turbine Industry
Strong knowledge on Direct procurement
Experience in procurement of Castings and Forging commodity a must
Strong knowledge on Casting process (Sand, Investment, 3D etc) and Forging process
Proficiency in Supply Chain Management
Fluency in English
Good understanding of all the main purchasing areas:
Order management, Development of suppliers, supplier quality, logistics etc.
Knowledge of the requirements of our markets
Strong knowledge on ERP systems, Oracle experience preferred
Ability to Influence, communicate and collaborate at all Organization levels
