Purpose of this Role
Working as part of the Product Life-Cycle Management team, the individual will project manage global cross-functional supply chain projects, ensuring operational excellence is delivered in all areas. Primary focus is on managing projects that involve product introductions and product exits.
Primary duties and responsibilities
Product Introduction & Discontinuation Management
Coordinate the supply chain implementation of new product introductions and product discontinuations across global markets
Coordinate initial stocking orders, replenishment forecasts, and distribution curve requirements for new products
Ensure production, logistics, and supply chain readiness for planned product launches
Ensure project activities and new product demand are accurately reflected in B&C demand planning
Define and manage phase-in/phase-out strategies and exit timelines for discontinued products
Coordinate inventory rundown and global sell-off opportunities to minimise inventory write-offs
Project Planning & Monitoring
Monitor project progress and ensure all supply chain activities align with agreed timelines
Prepare and maintain project plans, highlighting risks, delays, and status updates
Communicate project expectations and progress through regular meetings and status reporting
Escalate risks, delays, or operational issues to management when necessary
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication
Work closely with Product Management, Commercial teams, and MASS to ensure successful product implementation
Provide project updates to senior Global Supply Chain Management during monthly PLCM meetings and when needed
Systems & Process Governance
Ensure products are correctly created and maintained across ordering and planning systems (including IBP)
Regularly update PLCM management tools with project status updates and support monthly meetings

Education requirements / Experience / Job Specifications
Education / Professional Certification
University Degree qualified or equivalent
Experience
Minimum 3 years project management experience ideally in supply chain and portfolio management
Knowledge / Skills / Other characteristics
Proven track record of success and ROI in supply chain project management
Strong communication and presentation skills at all management levels
Effective organiser and planner, capable of bringing structure to any project
Strong interpersonal skills. Able to motivate and influence others
Flexible approach, able to respond to change and mitigate risk
Target orientated and hands on approach
Solid in IT knowledge across different applications
Fluency in English. Second language desirable
Ideally optical market experience and knowledge
