Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain activities across manufacturing, planning, inventory management, logistics, procurement coordination, and distribution operations. The role ensures uninterrupted product availability, cost optimization, service excellence, process compliance, and continuous operational improvement across brewery and supply network operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Planning & Operations
- Manage end-to-end supply chain planning including demand planning, production planning, replenishment, and inventory control.
- Ensure optimum stock availability across breweries, depots, and distribution points.
- Align production schedules with sales forecasts and market demand.
- Monitor supply risks, capacity constraints, and material availability.
2. Manufacturing & Brewery Coordination
- Collaborate with brewery teams to ensure smooth production execution.
- Ensure adherence to production plans, quality standards, and operational KPIs.
- Coordinate with contract breweries and third-party manufacturing partners.
3. Logistics & Distribution Management
- Oversee transportation planning and warehouse operations.
- Optimize distribution costs, route planning, and delivery efficiency.
- Ensure timely dispatches and customer service fulfillment.
4. Inventory Management
- Maintain optimal inventory levels for raw materials, packaging materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Reduce slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
- Ensure stock accuracy through regular reconciliation and governance.
5. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for operational losses and supply disruptions.
- Drive standardization and best-practice implementation across locations.
6. KPI Monitoring & Reporting
- Develop dashboards and monitor key supply chain KPIs.
- Analyze operational performance and recommend improvement actions.
- Present monthly business reviews and operational updates to leadership teams.
7. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality teams.
- Support New Product Development (NPD) launches and commercialization activities.
8. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and audit requirements.
- Maintain SOP adherence and support internal and external audits.
