Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Manager, Crisis Management & Business Resilience to support our organisation's response to unexpected events and crisis. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
Crisis Management is the preparation and our response to sudden event or intensifying issue that may significantly affect our reputation, people and customers and, or our ability to carry out our business. Successful execution of Crisis Management has the goal of maintaining the long-term trust of those with a stake in the business and thereby protecting people, business value and reputation.
The purpose of this role is to deliver all aspects of Silver level crisis readiness and response. This includes the participation in the Crisis Hub for continuous crisis level assessment and partnering with gold and bronze level response to ensure a joined-up group wide crisis response. In its design, Silver crisis response is a tactical level response to drive decisions, deliver focus to actions and bringing a joined-up approach to communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive crisis management plans and procedures.
Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities through regular assessments.
Coordinate cross-functional crisis response teams during emergencies.
Lead communication efforts internally and externally during a crisis.
Train staff on crisis protocols and conduct regular drills.
Monitor crisis situations and adjust strategies in real-time.
Conduct post-crisis evaluations and implement improvements.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements during crises.
Collaborate with PR, legal, HR, and other departments to manage reputational risk.
Prepare detailed reports on crisis events, responses, and outcomes.
Deliver coordinate crisis simulations, training, and awareness across the organisation.
Support internal audits and regulatory compliance efforts related to resilience and crisis management.
Foster collaboration across security, risk, crisis, and resiliency teams for integrated solutions.
Skills & Behaviours Required
Strategic Leadership - Ability to set clear objectives for crisis response and recovery.
Communication Excellence - Crafting clear, timely messages for internal and external customers, as well as coordinating with Crisis Communications teams for consistent messaging.
Rapid Decision-Making - Acting decisively during high-pressure situations while balancing risk and impact
Collaboration and Team Coordination - Leading cross-functional teams (Legal, Compliance, Engineering, Operations, Physical Security, Cyber, HR) and facilitating meetings and ensuring alignment across Bronze, Silver, and Gold CMTs.
Risk Assessment and Scenario Planning - Evaluating emerging threats and activating appropriate response levels and bringing to bear playbooks and post-crisis reviews to improve readiness
