Ignition Application Specialist – Manufacturing & Automotive Domain
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ignition Application Specialist with strong expertise in industrial automation and manufacturing systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in implementing and managing Ignition applications within the Manufacturing and Automotive domain, with a focus on production efficiency, system integration, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement Ignition-based solutions for manufacturing operations.
- Work extensively on OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and Alarms & User Management modules (must-have).
- Support and enhance modules such as:
- Ignition, SCADA-Must
- MES or SEPA soft (good to have)
- SPC (Statistical Process Control) (good to have)
- Traceability
- Maintenance Module (good to have)
- Quality Management (good to have)
- Work Order Creation, Master BOM, Equipment Module (good to have)
- Ensure seamless integration with industrial protocols including OPC-UA, Modbus, MQTT (HiveMQ).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, improve system reliability, and enhance production visibility.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement for deployed Ignition applications.
- Document configurations, workflows, and best practices for knowledge sharing and compliance.
Required
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Ignition platform (mandatory).
- Proven expertise in OEE and Alarms & User Management modules.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and automotive industry standards.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols: OPC-UA, Modbus, MQTT (HiveMQ).
- Knowledge of MES, SPC, Traceability, Maintenance, Quality, and BOM modules is an advantage.
- Ability to analyze production data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Computer Science) or related field.
- 5-12years of experience in manufacturing automation systems.
- Exposure to Industry 4.0 concepts and smart factory solutions.
