Role: D365 Manufacturing consultant

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Manufacturing & Production Consultant with over 10 years of expertise in implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management solutions, specifically focused on manufacturing and production operations.
The ideal candidate will possess deep functional expertise in production planning, manufacturing execution, inventory optimization, and supply chain processes. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing solutions aligned with operational and business objectives.
Experience range – 08-10 years
Key Responsibilities
Functional Consulting & Solution Design
Lead end-to-end implementation and support projects for Dynamics 365 Manufacturing and Production modules.
Conduct business process workshops, fit-gap analysis, and solution design sessions.
Analyze manufacturing operations and recommend best practices using Dynamics 365 SCM capabilities.
Configure and implement modules including:
Production Control
Master Planning
Inventory Management
Product Information Management
Warehouse Management
Procurement & Sourcing
Quality Management
Cost Management
Design production models for:
Discrete manufacturing
Process manufacturing
Lean manufacturing
Support product lifecycle and engineering change management processes.
Production & Planning Responsibilities
Configure and manage:
Bills of Materials (BOM)
Routes and operations
Capacity planning
Resource scheduling
Forecasting and demand planning
MRP/Master Planning
Production orders and batch orders
Optimize shop floor and warehouse processes.
Support inventory accuracy and production costing processes.
Drive automation and process improvement initiatives.
Project Delivery & Support
Prepare functional design documents, process flows, and test scenarios.
Coordinate with technical teams for customizations, integrations, and reporting requirements.
Lead UAT sessions, training workshops, cutover, and go-live support.
Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.
Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and governance processes.
Technical & Integration Knowledge
Understanding of:
Data Management Framework (DMF)
Lifecycle Services (LCS)
Power Platform
Power BI
Azure integrations
Electronic Reporting (ER)
Exposure to MES, barcode scanning, and third-party manufacturing integrations is preferred.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or related field.
MBA or relevant certifications preferred.
Preferred Skills
Strong expertise in Dynamics 365 SCM Manufacturing and Production modules.
Deep understanding of:
Manufacturing operations
Production planning
Supply chain processes
Inventory and warehouse operations
Production costing and quality management
Experience in multiple end-to-end Dynamics 365 F&O implementation projects.
