Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Embroidery Department In-Charge cum Punching Operator to oversee the complete embroidery production function, including embroidery digitizing, machine operations, production planning, team supervision, and quality control.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Wilcom and CorelDRAW , hands-on experience with computerized multi-head embroidery machines, and the ability to manage embroidery operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Embroidery Digitizing & Punching
Convert artwork, logos, and design concepts into production-ready embroidery files.
Create and modify embroidery designs using Wilcom and CorelDRAW .
Determine appropriate stitch types, stitch density, underlay, sequencing, thread colors, and design parameters.
Prepare embroidery samples and conduct necessary adjustments before bulk production.
Optimize designs to minimize thread breaks, production defects, and unnecessary thread consumption.
Ensure embroidery files are compatible with the respective computerized embroidery machines.
Embroidery Production Management
Manage day-to-day operations of the embroidery department and ensure production targets are achieved.
Plan and allocate daily production activities based on production schedules and delivery requirements.
Supervise embroidery machine operators, helpers, and quality-checking personnel.
Monitor machine utilization, production efficiency, and overall department performance.
Coordinate with relevant production departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
Monitor machine conditions and coordinate preventive maintenance and servicing.
Identify and resolve minor technical and operational issues to minimize production downtime.
Quality Control
Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure embroidery meets approved specifications.
Verify design accuracy, placement, size, thread color, stitch quality, density, and finishing.
Ensure embroidery output matches approved samples and production requirements.
Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions to reduce rejection and rework.
Maintain consistent quality standards throughout bulk production.
Inventory & Material Management
Monitor the availability and usage of embroidery threads, backing materials, needles, and other consumables.
Maintain appropriate stock levels to avoid production interruptions.
Monitor material consumption and minimize unnecessary wastage.
Maintain basic production and material-related records.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead, train, and guide embroidery department personnel to achieve production and quality targets.
Allocate manpower effectively according to workload and production priorities.
Monitor individual and team performance.
Promote safe, disciplined, and efficient working practices within the department.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Any Graduation.
Experience:
3–7 years of relevant experience in computerized embroidery production and embroidery punching/digitizing.
Proven experience in managing an embroidery production department is preferred.
Strong hands-on experience with multi-head computerized embroidery machines .
Technical Skills Wilcom: Expert-level knowledge in embroidery digitizing and punching.
CorelDRAW: Strong knowledge of artwork preparation and design handling.
Good understanding of stitch types, stitch density, underlay, sequencing, trims, thread selection, and embroidery techniques.
Strong knowledge of embroidery production processes and troubleshooting.
Ability to interpret artwork, logos, and production specifications accurately.
