Job Summary
The Factory Health & Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant working environment within the factory. The role focuses on identifying and mitigating workplace risks, ensuring compliance with statutory and company safety requirements, promoting a strong safety culture, and minimizing occupational injuries and incidents.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and standards.
Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety inspections across the factory.
Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and international health and safety standards.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Develop and maintain emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and crisis management protocols.
Conduct safety training, inductions, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
Lead safety committees and drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the safety culture.
Maintain HSE records, reports, permits, and statutory documentation.
Coordinate with government authorities, auditors, and external stakeholders on health and safety matters.
Monitor occupational health programs and workplace wellness initiatives.
Ensure safety requirements are incorporated into new projects, factory expansions, and process changes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
Minimum  8–12 years of experience  in health and safety management within manufacturing, textile, garment, FMCG, or industrial environments.
Proven experience in both established factories and greenfield/new factory setup projects is preferred.
Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques.
Professional certifications such as  NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent  are highly preferred.
Experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems and emergency response procedures.
Strong leadership, communication, training, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and HSE reporting systems.
