Senior R&D Scientist - Polymers & Nanotubes

Po Nanotechnologies is seeking a Senior Scientist with 5to6 years of hands-on experience in developing advanced polymer formulations incorporating nano tubes, particularly single-walled carbon nano tubes (SWCNTs). This role involves pioneering techniques for dispersing SWCNTs in various organic and inorganic solvents and integrating these dispersed nano tubes into diverse polymer matrices such as thermosetting and thermoplastic polymers to achieve enhanced material properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize practical, usable polymer-nanotube blends with superior mechanical, electrical, or thermal properties.

Employ deep understanding of polymer-nanotube interactions to tailor formulations.

Innovate dispersion methods for SWCNTs in multiple solvent systems to achieve uniform integration.

Collaborate intensively with the R&D team and work closely with operations and scale-up teams to ensure scalable production of multiple product lines.

Deliver lab-scale prototypes and scale-up support to meet operational requirements.

Maintain rigorous laboratory practices and documentation as this is a very hands-on experimental role.

Preferred

Experience and Skills:

Proven expertise working with carbon nano tubes and polymer blends.

Extensive laboratory experience in polymer synthesis, formulation, and characterization.

Strong knowledge of thermosetting and thermoplastic polymers.

Ability to translate scientific insights into commercially viable product solutions.

Experience in working with cross-functional teams in R&D and manufacturing environments.

Qualifications:

Master's or higher degree in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
