Sr. Research Scientist - Biomaterials

Location: Bengaluru

Conduct research on biomaterials and cellular engineering targeted for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications and generate protocols for the same
Participate in interdisciplinary research with colleagues and collaborators
Conceptualize, plan, execute, analyse data and troubleshoot experiments
Meet with vendors for raw materials and instruments procurement, functionalization, and with CROs for specialized services
Landscape study for suitable bio-inks using different biopolymer combinations & approaches
Perform extensive physical, biological & chemical characterization to obtain optimized product
Assess suitability of biopolymers from different sources (modified by different manufacturers) by landscaping their combinations to obtain optimized formulation suitable for the desired application
Technology transition for pre-clinical studies, data analysis, planning of the experiments & troubleshooting via regular calls, video demonstration & presentations
Ensure availability of relevant instruments, materials, reagents, and other resources for the experiments
Write scientific documents like manuscript, patent, grant proposals, etc.
Represent the company's vision, team's ideas & progress during investors' visits and meetings with collaborators
Prepare presentations for representing company in global platforms (Business plan competition & conferences)

Required Skills / Experience

PhD with relevant industry experience between 7 to 12 years
