Job description
About the role:
To be a part of the antibody validation module and contribute to the antibody development work streams.
To validate antibodies for reproducibility and specificity, using groundbreaking methods.
Responsibilities:
Independent experimental planning and execution to meet program goals and schedules.
Timely record keeping of results into data sheets and laboratory notebooks.
Regular mining of literature and staying up-to-date with developments in the field of antibody development, validation, and protein biology. Conceptualize to recommend improvements in product development and workflows.
Compilation and presentation of data in written and oral formats to various audiences including collaborators and leadership. Active participation in team meetings.
Mentoring junior scientists and providing in-lab supervision.
Candidate Requirement:
Education & Experience levels:
Master's degree with over 5 years experience or PhD with over 2 years experience in cell/molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, or biochemistry required.
Nature of experience:
Extensive experience and familiarity with the design and development of protein assays.
Understanding biochemical, cellular, and molecular biology techniques for protein characterization such as cell treatments, tissue/cell lysate preparation, sub-cellular fractionation, immunoprecipitation, and microscopy.
Extensive practical experience in immunoassays including Western blot, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, ELISA, ChIP, and Flow cytometry.
Theoretical or practical experience in antibody development platforms is desirable.
Communication of research data and providing expert-level technical troubleshooting to resolve scientific problems.
Project or work experience in support of relevant skills such as publications, project reports, or thesis work.
Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and has strong statistical knowledge and familiarity with statistical software such as Prism.
