The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented and curious Senior Design Researcher to join our Bengaluru studio. In this role, you will work focused on one of our key client engagements within the healthcare and life sciences sector - designing digital products, services, and experiences that are grounded in user insight and connected to measurable business outcomes.

This is a hands-on, senior role that spans the full research lifecycle — from framing the right questions and planning fieldwork, through to synthesis, storytelling, and activating insights within multidisciplinary teams. You'll work closely with designers, business designers, and client stakeholders to ensure research drives meaningful decisions.

At this level, you'll move beyond execution to:

· Shape research strategy and define the questions that matter most

· Connect human insight to design direction, service strategy, and business outcomes

· Influence client thinking and contribute to opportunity development

Key Responsibilities

· Lead end-to-end research across discovery, definition, and evaluation phases — ensuring rigour, relevance, and clarity of outcomes

· Frame research objectives in collaboration with project teams and clients, identifying the right questions to guide decision-making

· Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research using a range of methods — including interviews, contextual inquiry, diary studies, surveys, usability testing, and co-creation workshops

· Synthesise complex findings into clear, compelling insights, frameworks, and narratives that teams and clients can act on
· Collaborate with other design disciplines to translate research into actionable outputs such as personas, journey maps, opportunity areas, and design principles

· Facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions that bring stakeholders closer to the people they're designing for

· Work as a bridge between research and design, ensuring insight flows seamlessly into concept development and iteration

· Contribute to client relationships, presenting findings with confidence and helping identify further opportunities for research-led value

· Stay current with evolving research practices — including the responsible use of AI-assisted tools for analysis, synthesis, and research operations

Required Experience & Skills

· Approximately 5–8 years' experience in design research, UX research, or a closely related field — ideally within a consultancy, agency, or product environment

· Deep expertise across qualitative methods, with strong working knowledge of quantitative and mixed-method approaches

· Proven ability to synthesise complex, messy data into clear insights and compelling stories that drive action

· Experience planning and managing research across multiple markets or contexts, including coordinating international fieldwork

· Comfortable presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders, translating research into language that resonates with decision-makers

· Strong understanding of human-centred design, service design, and how research integrates across the design process

· Familiarity with modern research tools and platforms (e.g., Dovetail, Lookback, User Testing, Optimal Workshop, Miro) and an openness to AI-augmented research workflows
