Our client, a specialist piling and ground engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Manager – Foreman to work on multi‑discipline projects across the country, responsible for all site operations, reporting to a Project Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Organizing daily activities and work shifts; coordinating between employees and subcontractors.
• Ensuring work is carried out to high quality standards.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers and Subcontractors.
• Ordering and control of materials on site.
• Complete all necessary documentation daily, including but not limited to: timesheets, pre-task planning sheets, daily journal/diary, weekly safety report, receiving reports, change/time off, work orders, etc.
• Monitor progress of work against planned production goals.
• Must be a good communicator, motivator, and team player.

SPECIFIC SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as Safety Coordinator.
• Act as temporary work supervisor.
• Always work 100% safely, leading by example.
• Deliver regular toolbox talks to the site team on Health, Safety and Environmental issues and maintain records.
• Ensure daily and weekly plant checks are carried out and records maintained.
• Monitor subcontract works and ensure delivery in line with RAMS.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

• Leadership on working crews (workers, subcontractors, rented equipment, etc.). Previous experience required.
• Experience organizing activities and coordinating between different activities and teams.
• Experience in preparing daily progress and production reports; ability to estimate production outputs and schedule downtime for routine maintenance.
• Ability to train new workers and teach equipment handling.
• Dealing with subcontractors, inspectors, technical assistance, and clients.
• Experience in earthworks activities, especially embankments and rock embankments (motorways, roads, landfills, etc.).
• Knowledge of quarry materials and specifications (quality, size, shape) and acceptance criteria.
• Experience in crane operations (load lifting) with lattice boom crawler cranes preferred; must be provable.
• Experience in maritime works is appreciated (e.g., placing material at sea).
• Proficient with mobile equipment (loads, excavators, elevated platforms, etc.).
• Minimum 5 years of Foreman experience on heavy civil projects (bridge, dam, marine and/or rail construction).
