The Creative Director role involves working within a distinguished British family-run business focused on craftsmanship, innovation, and customer service excellence. This position requires leading brand strategy and design direction to establish a compelling brand identity that balances aspiration with commercial viability. The Creative Director oversees the entire design process, from initial concepts to product launches, encouraging team creativity in textile, wallcovering, and accessory collection development.

Critical responsibilities include managing the design process, offering feedback, and ensuring deadlines are met in collaboration with suppliers and internal departments. Product sourcing and ongoing supplier relationships are key, along with negotiating product prices to maintain competitive value and exclusivity.

In addition to design leadership, the Creative Director plays a crucial role in brand and marketing development. This involves working closely with the Head of Marketing to clearly articulate the clients visual and written identity. The role includes approving marketing content for consistency, overseeing product-focused photoshoots, and managing the design of product samples. The Creative Director ensures that visual merchandising in showrooms aligns with client aesthetics and conducts presentations to international sales teams, functioning as a primary ambassador for the client.

This involves setting product and sampling prices in collaboration with the Directors.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate exceptional creativity and innovative thinking, essential for generating and communicating the clients vision. A minimum of five years of experience in home furnishings and textiles, particularly in leadership positions, is required. An enthusiasm for interior design and the design industry, along with a keen understanding of market trends, fashion, and color, is necessary. The candidate should possess expert knowledge of fabric and wallcovering, contributing to the clients capacity to meet evolving customer needs and respond dynamically to market trends.
